EXCLUSIVE! THE SPIN BEGINS! ISRAEL BASEBALL LEAGUE'S #2 EXECUTIVE COMES TO TABLOID BABY TO REACH PLAYERS! INSISTS THERE WILL BE A SECOND SEASON!

The following comment from Martin Berger, president and COO of the Israel Baseball League, has appeared on the Tabloid Baby website, seven minutes after we posted our exclusive interview with Our Man Elli in Israel, and more than an hour after we broke the news that the IBL commissioner and board member have quit amid questions about the league's dealings:

Players,

I wanted to let everyone know what is going on with the league.

Our Commissioner as well as several others who you may or may not know, have decided to resign and I wanted you all to know about it first.

On behalf of the IBL, we thank each of them for their help in launching this amazing venture. I want you all to know that this will have no effect on the incredible things going on right now with the League. Dan Duquette, Larry Baras, Ami Baran and I are working tirelessly to make the 2008 season one to remember. We have every intention of playing next season and will be updating the website shortly with exciting news.

As always, if you have any questions, do not ever hesitate to drop me a line.

Martin Berger

Let's see how the mainstream media handles this story and whether we see any mention of Tabloidbaby.com. Martin Berger knew that this is the gathering place for IBL players and the clearinghouse for information in this story of international and generational import. We'll be keeping an eye out to see how That Putz Greenberg handles it.
