Israel invades Germany for (baseball) diamonds!

A trio of standout players from the dead-in-the-water Israel Baseball League face off on Opening Day tomorrow, a long way from the Holyland— the Fatherland!

Seth Binder, shortstop for the Petach Tikva Pioneers will go to bat for the Gauting Indians, against the Munchen-Haar Disciples, led by infielder Nate Fish of the Tel Aviv Lightning and Modi’in Miracle outfielder Adalberto Paulino (l to r, above) in Germany’s Baseball Bundesliga.

Seth is keeping in contact with his proud dad Robert back in the States, and dad is keeping us informed on his Robert’s Rants & Binder’s Blurbs, which also features his musings on the unfortunate Israel Baseball League.

Seth tells Dad, “Everything is okay.

“...area is beautiful, beer is delivered to your door like they used to deliver milk back in the States... It’s nice!"

Mr. Binder, keep us posted!

And a tip of the Tabloid Baby hat to our fan and unofficial cub reporter, 0007 Snooper in Haifa, who first tipped us to the long road to Germany.
